Over the past few weeks, the coronavirus outbreak has completely changed our life. Instead of going outside and working out to keep yourself healthy, now the best way to stay safe and protect your family is to stay at home and work from home. The UK authority has advised everyone to keep social distancing as much as possible. However, it’s challenging to stay motivated and calm during this outbreak. Here are 15 tips to do at home while social distancing to keep yourself healthy and positive during the COVID-19 outbreak.

1. Clean and Organise your space
Usually we can’t wait till the weekend to stay at home and relax, but now we will probably be spending more time at home. You really might get bored easily or go crazy. So this is totally the best time ever for you to give your place a makeover which will be good for your mental health. Giving your room a fresh air with new decorations or re-arrange your furniture might be a good start for this long journey at home. Or if you work from home, why not try to create a stylish workspace to keep yourself motivated.

2. Eat Nutritious Food
Start building up a healthy immune system to fight off infections with a healthy diet. If you're not in the habit of eating a variety of fruits, veggies, and lean sources of protein, now is a good time to start. Eating well, drinking lots of fluids, supplementing more vitamins for your body such as Vitamin C, B6 and E can help to boost your immune system in the war of fighting the virus.
3. Indoor Gardening
Indoor gardening can be a great way to keep yourself occupied and productive during social distancing. Plus you have some fresh herbs and green vegetables for your families. It is also a great way to keep kids entertained and maybe give them some biology lessons!
4. Take an Online Course
Now you can say you are a millionaire of time, so now it could be a chance for you not only to pick up a new skin but also to give your brain a workout. 5. Read those books have been in your lists
Getting away from screens and reading a book can help you escape for a bit from the news and works. Whether you want to listen to an audiobook or finish off those books have been in your lists for ages, this is an excellent time to relax and thoroughly enjoy it.

Don't let lying low at home keep you away from your regular exercise. But the fact is, working out is a powerful way to strengthen your immune system and can be done from the comfort of your own home. Just 30 minutes of any kind of workout is a great way to get some extra endorphins flowing and boost your mood.

Playing classic board games like Monopoly or Puzzles can provide hours of entertainment for your families or roommates. This is an activity that gets the whole family involved, whether young or old member, and it has the tendency to produce cherished memories of family fun and laughter.

Just because you're social distancing, it doesn't mean that you can't hangouts with your friends or your loved ones. Taking the time to reach out to them, specially those who are more vulnerable, and let them know you're thinking of them by creating a video chat over Skype or What'sApp.
9. Try new recipes?
Rinse. Soak. Cook. Enjoy. Thanks to Youtube and plenty of free online cooking ebooks, why not show off your cooking skill with a new recipe? How about trying healthy Mediterranean recipes because you must have heard about the Mediterranean diet and its many health benefits.
10. Start to learn a new language or other culture
Learn a second language enables us to improve memory, boost brain power, enhance the ability to multi-task and more. And also foreign language fluency will give you more opportunities. You might become a new person by the end of this self-isolation time.

Self-isolation is the best time to practice self-care, and taking a warm bath in your own home is one of the most relaxing ways to soothe yourself. Light up some candles, open your favourite playlists and a hot soak can help cleanse you of negativity and soothe the body.
My secret is to enjoy my mask time while in the bath to give extra treat to my skin.
14. Indulge in skincare
Whether you're a fan of skincare or not, treating your skin or even your hair to a nourishing treatment is no harm at all. There's no better time than now to perfect your at-home beauty regimen.
15. Wear the best pyjamas
Social distancing means you can spend all day in your pyjamas and comfy dressing while working from home. And what better way to enjoy a great night's sleep than by wearing a pair of luxe silk pyjamas?
Finally, it's worth reminding yourself that this short period of time will, like everything in life, change too. By staying at home and making certain sacrifices, you're not only protecting yourself but also others too, especially those who are vulnerable and medical professionals on the front lines.
